- Q. How can I apply as a new student at LATTC?
- A. You can apply online at the LACCD - LATTC Application. You can expect to receive your student ID number via email within (2) to (3) business days after you have have applied. For in-person assistance, you can visit the Welcome Center in Student Support Center, D3-105; If you are having issues applying or have any questions please call the office at (213) 763-5560 or send us an email at @email.
- Q. Who do I talk to regarding what courses to take as a new student at LATTC?
- A. You can talk to the college counselor after obtaining your student ID via email. To schedule an appointment with a counselor, visit the Administrative/Service Building, E5-205, call them at (213) 763-7354 or email the counseling department at @email. You can also visit this link: https://laccd.craniumcafe.com/group/t-general-counseling/scheduler to schedule an appointment.
- Q. Where do I go to register?
- A. Log into student portal at mycollege.laccd.edu. Click on "Manage Classes". Click on "Class Search and Enroll", Search for classes (you can search by keyword e.g., course, subject, class number). Select the class you want and click "Next" (note: you may be asked for a permission number, however, if the course has not begun and is not full, click "Accept"). Click "Enroll", then click "Next", and "Submit".
- Q. What is the cost?
- A. For tuition fees, visit the most up to date Tuition and Fees page. In addition, students can apply for financial aid. You can complete your FAFSA* (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at studentaid.gov or complete your CADAA^ (California Dream Act Application) at dream.csac.ca.gov to apply for Financial aid. Apply before March 2nd to Maximize your potential award.
*Federal School Code is 001227 ^CADAA School Code is 00122700
^CADAA applicants must also complete the AB 540 Affidavit to qualify for California Dream Act. Please visit the Dream Resource Center located in Administrative/Service Building, E5-316 for more information.
- Q. How can I complete the new student orientation?
- A. You can access the new student orientation in your student account portal. Log into student portal at mycollege.laccd.edu. Click "Student Status" then "Orientation". You can also access the new student orientation in the following link: New Student Orientation.
High School Student ( 9-12) FAQs
- Q. Where do I get the forms to register as a high school student?
- A. You can pick up the applications from the Welcome Center in Student Support Center, D3-105; Fill out the LACCD - LATTC Application and Supplemental Application for Admission of Students in Grades K-12. You can also complete the Online Supplemental Application for Admission of Students in Grades K-12. If you are having issues applying or have any questions please call the office at (213) 763-5561 or send us an email at @email and we will email the form to you.
- Q. Who do I talk to regarding what courses to take as a high school student at LATTC?
- A. Courses must be selected by your high school counselor.
- Q. Where do I go to register?
- A. After the Supplemental Application for Admission of Students in Grades K-12 has been, submitted, you may go to the Welcome Center in Student Support Center, D3-105 to register. You will be provided with a date to sign up for classes over the phone, online, or in person.
- Q. What is the cost?
- A. High school student do not have to pay for tuition fees. However any books or materials required for your class are your responsibility.
- Q. What happens if I cannot attend the orientation?
- A. You must contact the Welcome Center if special arrangements need to be made.
