The New Program Approval policy is outlined in E-64. All proposed certificates and Associate degree majors must follow the process outlined below. Instructions for approval are included elsewhere in this Handbook.

| Submit it to the Agenda Review Subcommittee to place the proposal on the Curriculum Committee agenda. | Submit it to the Agenda Review Subcommittee to place the proposal on the Curriculum Committee agenda. |
| Present your proposal to the Curriculum Committee for approval. | Present your proposal to the Curriculum Committee for preliminary approval. |
| The form will be sent to the district to be added to our database. | Complete the appropriate state New Program Application forms (MS Word) with all required signatures. For occupational majors, this will involve approval by the Regional Occupational Deans. |
| During the next catalog printing cycle, confirm that the program has been added. | Submit the application and 4 copies to the district Educational Services office. |
| The Board of Trustees will approve the program, then send the application to the state Chancellor's Office for approval. | |
